The formation of a strong and fertile female herd is the backbone of a successful stud herd. At Wallawong Murray Greys we place a high degree of selection on females. Over the years this has developed into a line of consistent, uniform breeders.
Wallawong Murray Grey Stud was established in April 1990 with the purchase of The Glen Alma 19th. Further females from throughout Australia have since been added to the herd. These females have been purchased for their correctness, milking ability, and functionality. Females were selected from herds carrying the prefixes of Baroona, Willalooka, Furracabad, Glencairn, Highwood, Mt View, The Glen, Walteela, Watermill, Woodbourn, pick of the Cobbora Springs and Springwell herds. 2013 also saw a strategic expansion with the purchase of 43 cow and calf units from the pick of the Bundaleer herd.
Our heifers are also used as part of our highly successful genetics programs, with embryos available for sale. You can also take a look at our range of bull semen sires, including outstanding past Murray Grey bulls which have been sold at our on property sales.
