At Wallawong, we’re a beef cattle stud with a difference. Our first-hand experience in meat science and meat judging sets us apart as Silver Angus, Murray Grey and Angus cattle breeders, allowing us to provide modern, carcase-focused beef cattle genetics, ideally suited to producers aiming to target MSA and premium markets.
We’ve worked with Silver Angus, Murray Greys and Angus for more than 25 years and believe they produce the ideal domestic beef carcase for today’s markets. Our long-term vision is to use our genetic expertise to make breeding decisions and improve the performance of our Silver Angus, Murray Greys and Angus, and our clients’ beef cattle herds.
We hold an annual Silver Angus Murray Grey sale at our Marriot Park Cattle Events Complex in Gunnedah, and frequently exhibit at other beef cattle and steer and carcase competitions, with excellent results. You can look at some of our past cattle news and competition results to see the quality of our cattle. Our black Angus cattle are sold at Emerald Ag Grow bull sale and Ag Quip Field Days as well as our Annual On-Property Sale and out of the paddock.
Whether you’re full-time cattle farmers, mixed livestock farmers, hobby farmers or semi-retired part-time farmers, we’ve got the knowledge and superior beef cattle to meet your needs.
Our Silver Angus, Murray Grey and Angus bulls possess excellent performance genetics and their steers have a long history of success at many competitions. We always offer bulls that exhibit strong and promising characteristics, both as stud sires and commercial bulls.
We also offer bull semen for sale for artificial insemination, from our most successful and reliable bulls.
The backbone of our herd lies with our females. Wallawong Premium Beef are proud of the excellent and reliable breeding of our cows, starting back in 1990 and increasing to 125 in the current herd. A natural expansion into Angus began with the purchase of cows from Woodbourn, Kansas and Dance Angus studs.
Our females also play an integral role in our breeding programs, with a selection of embryos available for purchase. Through careful selection, we can advise on the ideal bull and female genetic combinations to produce top-quality offspring and continue strong performance.
We also pride ourselves on staying abreast of the latest news for cattle breeders, and are at the forefront of technology and breeding programs.
